Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with many publications and many awards to her credit she is also the winner of numerous national and global prizes. She has provided policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments across the world. She is also a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was director of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
